Label Printer Problems
The Citizen CLP 521 label printer is robust and reliable. It gives very few problems. The only time people seem to have trouble with it is just after label roll changing when the label gap sensor is knocked out of line. If this happens you will find it prints one label then spits out a couple more labels, BEEPS and the red error light comes on. Don’t Panic
The gap sensor should be set so that the sensor on the square rectangular black bar is directly underneath the pointer on the bar which separates from the main label cover (newer printers have a white pointer on this bar)
Sometimes it takes a bit of fiddling to get this bar in the correct position. When you have it in position remember to lift the middle bar and click it into place under the top bar.
Turn the printer off and on again to reset between your attempts and this will clear the error state.
